Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will present the results of the survey and public input for the Upper Missouri River Reservoir Fisheries Management Plan and discuss next steps.

In 2018, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks held a series of public meetings and conducted an online survey to solicit input for the Upper Missouri River Reservoir Fisheries Management Plan. The management plan guides fisheries management on Canyon Ferry, Hauser and Holter reservoirs and two Missouri River sections.

The current management plan expires in 2019. A previous draft of the plan presented to the Fish and Wildlife Commission in October was rejected due to lack of public input.

To gather input, FWP launched an online survey and hosted open houses in Great Falls, Bozeman and Helena. Nearly 1,200 respondents provided more than 4,000 individual comments to the online survey, and more than 150 people participated in the open houses. FWP will use this information to guide the next steps to update the plan.
