2013 Kids Day events
Hooked on Fishing, Not Drug kids day

April 2013 - We had a great trip fishing on Nilan Reservoir. We had
kids from NMS, EMS and GFHS. Great day with lots of sun. Most of the
kids caught fish EVEN the Girls had some luck! Thanks to Richard
Headley for giving us his Trout catching secrets, Jim for cooking,
Alex for the mobile classroom, Bill for the Bus, and a huge thanks
to all our helpers.
NMS/EMS Kids day to Bynum

Another great fishing trip for NMS/EMS hooked on fishing not drugs.
We had 23 kids from Lincoln, EMS, NMS, GFHS & CMR. This was a great
trip with almost perfect weather. Bynum is a great place to take
kids fishing. Over 300 perch were caught with most of them being
used in local schools for dissection programs. This was a very
successful day out fishing! Special thanks goes out to Rob and Deb
Haney who provided soup, sandwiches, pop & cookies. Jim our cook
(nana who sent cookies also). Alex for providing 4 wheeler, mobile
classroom & pickup to pull it all. Jack the Perch Guru who helped
every kid catch fish. Dave Yerk MFWP fisheries biologist who talked
to us about the fishery and Jenn (my wife and fishing club sponsor
from EMS).
