SUMMARY:2026 AIS Short Course Opportunity
DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Missoula County Department of Ecology and Exte
 nsion we would like to share and inform of the 3rd annual Aquatic Invasive
  Species Short Course. This event will take place on April 29th and 30th a
 t the Exploration Center in Missoula! In the past\, this conference has ho
 sted over 100 participants from several states and represented a variety o
 f government agencies\, regional stakeholders\, private companies\, univer
 sities\, and tribal organizations.\n\n\nThis year\, we have an agenda stac
 ked with presentations on aquatic invasive species\, how they spread\, man
 agement methods\, and local case studies. These talks are interspersed wit
 h workshops geared toward learning to better identify aquatic species as w
 ell as demonstrations of boat decontamination from folks at the check stat
 ions.\n\nThe Short Course will also provide an opportunity for attendees t
 o earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through the Montana Department of
  Agriculture in the following categories:\n    0 - Dealer - 6 cred
 its\n    5 - Aquatic Pest Control - 6 credits\n    10 - De
 monstration &amp\; Research Pest Control - 6 credits\n\nWe would love to h
