Greetings from Billings! I’m happy to report that we just wrapped up our 32nd Annual Banquet 4 days ago. We hosted about 750 ticket holders and volunteers and feel like we can call it a great success. Everyone knows the amount of work it takes to prepare and host a banquet and our members stepped up to the plate and worked hard to “get ‘er done!” I’ve included some pictures from the banquet – there were some pretty good door prizes.
We are looking at a busy schedule for summer fishing events. We will host a few hundred elementary age students for one-day fishing events, will assist Fish Wildlife and Parks with their Aquatic Education program field days, and will spend a weekend at Tongue River Reservoir hosting veterans and pediatric cancer patients and families for two days of fishing, camping, and of course – food!
Heath Headley, FWP Fisheries Biologist at Fort Peck Reservoir presented fisheries information at our meeting earlier this week. I think it got everyone excited about the upcoming fishing season.
Have a great summer everyone – good luck fishing!
