The Walleyes Unlimited of Montana, Malta Chapter, has some great things happening this Spring and Summer. We have a new look with our new logo; the same great organization is planning and moving forward with projects and events for anglers in our area. Do you know a young person in our community who enjoys fishing and would like to nominate them for the Young Angler award, announced each year at our Annual Fundraiser? Two age groups, 7 and under and 8-18, are both awarded a Young Angler of the Year winner. Application deadline is April 3rd. We invite you to our Annual Fundraiser held April 9th – 11th at the GN Lodge Room. Malta Chapter Members will be there manning the silent auction, bucket drawings, gun raffle, 50/50, and kids table Thursday and Friday, 5-8, and Saturday, 4-7. Do you know a high school senior or college/trade school student who would be interested in applying for our scholarship? We are excited to offer this opportunity to our Phillips County Residents and look forward to helping a young adult in our community further their education. Application deadline is April 24th. In June, we will again take kids from our community on a fishing day full of fun, food, and laughs! Camp Walleye is a one-day event at Nelson Reservoir for kids entering 5th-8th grade in the 2026-2027 school year. Breakfast, lunch, and BBQ supper are provided.
